This is where we stand now on the project:  We just passed $1000,
despite the strange rehearsal schedule. I have received several checks
by snail mail, so it seems to be a oretty valid option.  We'd like to
accomplish what we did last year, which was a little over $2000.

And a point of interest: There will be no Spring fundraising activity
for CSC (no Musicales), so we won't be hitting you up again for another
donation. Your board is exploring what to do in the future for the
endowment.  If you have any ideas, please discuss them with a board menber.

Frequently Asked Questions:*

*Question*:  I'm not singing in the Spring programs, but I want to
contribute to WCPE and be sure it counts toward Concert Singers' goal.
*Answer*: Three options:

1.    You can drop by the Herb Young Center before rehearsal and make
your contribution there until April 11.

2.   You can mail a check to either

3.    You can give it to a board member who will pass it along to me.

The check should be payable to WCPE with "CSC Project" in the memo area.

*Question:*  Can I send my donation directly to WCPE and have it count?
*Answer:* Unfortunately, no.  They are not set up to track projects like
this.  We batch the checks/donations and send the batch to WCPE in one
package.  Then CSC gets the credit for the entire batch.

*Question:* Will you take cash?
*Answer:* Certainly!  But not by mail, please!

*Question:*  What about my tax receipt?
*Answer:* WCPE will acknowledge your gift with a letter that will pass
IRS scrutiny.

*Question:*  What about the coffee mug or baseball cap that depends on
the size of my donation?
*Answer:*  That's what you give up to support the CSC in this project. 
The CSC gets the big prize!

*Question:* What is it that Concert Singers gets from this, again?
*Answer*:  CSC gets a WEEKLY plug on the station as being a supporter,
as well as a link to the CSC web site in the WCPE we site
( http://www.wcpe.org/  ).  That's 52 announcements over the course of
the year.  Last year we raised over $2000 and got two announcements a
week, for a total of 104!  Their paid announcements cost $60 per
mention, or cheaper by the dozen at $50 each.

*Question:* So what's in it for me?
*Answer:* You get to help two great community organizations.  The CSC
serves the Triangle area, and WCPE broadcasts to the eastern part of NC
and parts of Virginia, and it has internet listeners throughout the world.

*Question:*  What is the deadline again?
*Answer:* We want to get this wrapped up and mailed in by mid-April.
