Our first rehearsal is coming! Sept 11, 7:30pm at Greenwood Forest
Baptist Church (110 SE Maynard Rd, Cary). Our CSC Google calendar has
been updated, you can access is here, and I’ve also attached it to

Note that the first Holiday Pops rehearsal is Oct 16 (before our first
show on Nov 7); then the second Pops reh isn’t until Nov 13.

We had 29 people audition, and I’m excited to announce we welcome 19
new singers into our ranks!! Sectional breakdown: S-5, A-11, T-1, B-2.
Thanks to our volunteers who greeted everyone: Christine Bonin and
Melissa Martin.

New singers, we'll have nametags for you at the first rehearsal.

The first draft of our 9/11 rehearsal seating chart is attached.
Please, everyone, look it over and if you are planning to sing in the
Nov 7 show but are NOT yet listed, let me know; conversely, if you are
NOT planning to sing in the Nov 7 show but ARE listed, let me know so
we can edit it.

Singers,

We are excited you are joining us for our 2023-2024 season.  The board
would like to streamline the music payments this season so we will be
requiring that you pay for music before you pick it up.  Music for the fall
Nov. 7 concert will be distributed at the first rehearsal to people who
have paid in advance via PayPal or bring cash/check to the rehearsal ($30).

(Please bring exact change if paying cash.  We prefer you bring checks to
rehearsal so we can ensure you get credit for paying for your music.)  If
you have not paid for music, you will need to look-on with a neighbor.

We recognize that paying membership fee/dues ($100 for the entire year) and
music in the same month may be difficult for some.  We have a Membership
Fee Subsidy (MFS) program, to help anyone unable to pay the entire dues
amount. To ask for aid, simply email your request to
treasurer at concertsingers.org.  We can also offer payment plans to pay
membership fees over several weeks.  We do need music to be paid for in
advance, however.

Please plan to arrive at 7pm for the first rehearsal so we can distribute
music and be in our seats by 7:30pm. We will have 2 tables set-up to
distribute music: One for people who have paid in advance and one for people
who are paying that night.  Tables will be set up in the rear of the
sanctuary so you can find your seat, put down your stuff and then come to
the back to get your music.

We got a lot of interest from Lazy Daze passers-by at the weekend
festival; our raffle signups gave us many names and emails to promote
auditions and ticket purchases going forward. Many thanks to our fab
volunteers: Mana Aoi, David Beall, Christine Bonin (again!), Joan
Eastwick, Casey Erklin, Thom Haynes, Beverly Olson.

Here are reminders of two important activities: first, please take the
board survey if you haven’t already. Second, please sign up for our
Sept 16 season kickoff potluck picnic! All the details follow.

(1) The CSC Board would like each of you (including new singers) to

It asks which concerts you plan to participate in – this info helps us
plan how much music to buy. If you aren’t sure at this time, you can
also indicate that. There are also demographic questions, important to
help us apply for grants. Also other questions about how CSC operates,
and a chance for you to indicate any suggestions or other feedback you
may have. PLEASE fill it out!

(2) Join us for our Season Kick-off Potluck on September 16th at Bond
Park Buehler Shelter!   An invitation is attached. Please RSVP and
sign up to bring something.  We would love a balance of items so
please keep that in mind when signing up.
