*November - Concert dress up-date:*
The most recent information we have regarding the concert dress orders:
- order is due to arrive 11/12
- tops/skirts will be labeled and ready to be picked up at rehearsal
- skirts will arrive unhemmed; if you do not have the sewing skills or
time to hem the skirt - either roll up the skirt at the waist or use
iron-on Velcro tape, temporary hem tape, whip stitches, duct tape, or
scotch tape......(whatever works!)..... until you have time to do a more
permanent alteration; whatever you do will look fine from the stage for the
concert.
- if there are any issues with the top, please just take care of it
whenever you can - a safety pin fix will be fine for the concert; no one in
the audience will know or notice.
- Reminder: no necklaces for the November program; small stud earrings
only; black hose and dress shoes (comfortable!)
- Black folders (a black three ring binder will work if you do not have
a folder)
*Holiday Pops concert dress:***
As Larry announced, the stage line-up for the Holiday Pops concert will be
virtually the same as the line-up we will be in for the November concert.
Talk to the singers on either side of you as to what colors you plan on
wearing for the Holiday Pops concert; try to have no more than three of the
same color next to one another. This has been done with a smaller group;
with the men in tuxes, the overall look was really very dressy.
- solid, festive colors and fabrics
- sleeves a must - NO spaghetti straps or strapless tops
- no cleavage showing
- festive jewelry
- same long black skirt, black hose and black dress shoes as for the
November concert
Thank you!
