Dear Choir,

 

See the following from bass section and board member Joe Ferguson about the
CSC/WCPE partnership fund raiser. We did this last year and received a huge
publicity boost from on air credits to CSC.

At the February CSC Board meeting, the board authorized a repeat of last
year's effort to raise funds for WCPE so that CSC could continue getting
on-air credit as a supporter.  In the 2010 drive we raised over $2000, which
entitled us to twice-weekly plugs about the CSC, its programs, and its
objectives. 

 

If you listen to The Classical Station, you have probably heard these Public
Service Announcements (PSAs), particularly in the Sunday AM Great Sacred
Music and Thursday evening Opera House programs.  The thresholds are $500
gets monthly PSAa, $1000 gets weekly plugs.  It would be nice to match last
year's $2000, but we can surely go for $1000!

 

Recall that the process is:

1.    Make your check for the amount of the donation to "WCPE Radio"

2.    Put "CSC Project" in the memo line of the check, to ensure proper

credit

3.    Give your check to me, Shannon, Don Cariss.

4.    Feel good all over for helping both great local music institutions!

 

I'll nag and give status updates from time to time as the campaign goes
along.  We want to wrap this up by the end of March.

 

I have outpatient surgery scheduled tomorrow AM, and I'll definitely not be
at rehearsal next Monday, March 7, but the others mentioned will be glad to
pass your check along to me.  If all goes well, I'll return to the Bass (not
Soprano) section on March 14 (you can guess what the procedure involves).
