[Larry Speakman]

Dear Concert Singers Community,

 

It is with great sadness that I write to tell you of the death of Marty
Ferguson, who was a member of our Chamber and Symphonic Choir bass sections
last season. Marty died unexpectedly in his sleep at his parents' home on
Tuesday morning.  Marty's parents are Joe Ferguson, a long time member of
our bass section and a member of our Board of Directors and Winnie Ferguson
who is a local artist and teacher. Marty is also survived by his brother
Warren who is a member of The Raleigh Symphony and his sister Sheri who
lives in Pennsylvania.
