[New_csc_newsline] CSC starting on Monday!

Dear Concert Singers – Happy start of the concert season! I want to wish
you well as you begin rehearsals next week. I will miss you all very much
this fall, but I know that you are going to have great experiences with
Lindsey, Bill, and Josh.



As was mentioned before, some important opportunities came my way regarding
my work at NC State, and as I started mapping it all out it became clear
that I was going to need additional time to be able to address those. I am
very appreciative of all of you and of the board of directors for your
willingness to make that happen. This time will be good for the choir as
well. The opportunity to work with different conductors, who all have
different modes of operation, different artistic perspectives, and,
crucially, new and different conductor jokes, can bring real benefits for
choral organizations. You are in good hands.



I also want to encourage you and remind you that CSC is working to
streamline and make more efficient our systems for knowing who is singing
in which concert, how much music to purchase, and how singers make payments
for the music. There are a few changes to get used to, but they are good
changes – they will make things easier in the long run and help us save
money. Please be sure to bring your money for your music at the first
rehearsal. Or even better, pay in advance via paypal.



Have a great rehearsal on Monday. I’ll look forward to seeing you all in
the new year!
