Our seventh symphonic choir rehearsal of 2023 is on Monday Mar 13,
7:30-9:30pm at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church (110 SE Maynard Rd,
Cary).

Upcoming rehearsal order will be:

March 13 and 20: Music of Light in the 90 minutes, Holst in the last 30 minutes

March 27 and Apr 3: Music of Light (with possibility of some
additional Holst reh being added)

Apr 10 on: Music of Light

BASANT BAHAR:

-       Wear formal concert black (shoes and sox optional!) and carry
a black binder; refresh yourself with concert etiquette and dress

I've attached a picture of one of our basses modelling his barefoot
tuxedo look :)-

-       For both the rehearsal and performance, we will be standing
for about 30 minutes. Please be prepared for that. This may affect
your footwear choices...

          -      Concert order: Shanti Mantra, Gitanjali, Svaagat,
Tarana, Ta-ka-di-mi

-       The mandatory Saturday rehearsal time on March 11 is 9:30 am
to 11:30 am at the Cary Arts Center.

-       The Sunday call time on March 12 is 1pm, with the music part
of the performance slated to begin at 2pm. House opens at 1:30. Our
part of the performance should be done by approximately 3pm.

-       Attached is a poster for the event. Note that tix are only
at-the-door, first-come-first-serve, and are free. There is also a
YouTube live streaming option. Tell your friends and family to get
there early, at 1pm or very shortly thereafter, to obtain tix.

For SSA singers participating in the Holst 'The Planets' concerts with
the NC Symphony:

1) please look at the attached listing to ensure you are listed for
the dates you would like to sing; if any concerns please reply to

2) if you haven’t filled out the CSC vaccination form 1-2 years ago
and shown your vax record to us, you will need to fill out this form,

The Concert Singers of Cary is accepting applications for its
annual Fuller Blunt Memorial Scholarship. Fuller Blunt was a music lover
and one of the co-founders of Concert Singers. The scholarship is awarded
to a graduating North Carolina high school senior who has been accepted and
is entering a college or university as a music major. It is a one-time
award of $1,000 paid directly to the college of choice at the beginning of
the academic year.

Please feel free to share this information with any students who may be
interested in applying. More information, including application
instructions and a list of previous winners can be found on our website,
