Our sixth symphonic choir rehearsal of 2023 is on Monday Mar 6,
7:30-9:30pm at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church (110 SE Maynard Rd,
Cary). Our Hum Sub musicians will again be there!



Upcoming rehearsal order will be:

March 6: Basant Bahar only

March 13 and 20: Music of Light in the 90 minutes, Holst in the last 30 minutes

March 27 and Apr 3: Music of Light (with possibility of some
additional Holst reh being added)

Apr 10 on: Music of Light



BASANT BAHAR:

-       The Saturday rehearsal time on March 11 has been narrowed down
to 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

-       The Sunday performance time on March 12 is now 1-4pm, with the
music part of the performance slated to begin at 2pm. House opens at
1:30.

-       Attached is a poster for the event. Note that tix are only
at-the-door, first-come-first-serve, and are free. There is also a
YouTube live streaming option. I advise you to tell your friends and
family to get there early, around 1pm, to obtain tix.

-       Attached is a PDF file that arranges a copy of the phrases in
western notation with the Indian notation on opposing pages as
described by Thom in a previous Choral Notes. Thanks Jeff White!

The Concert Singers of Cary is accepting applications for its
annual Fuller Blunt Memorial Scholarship. Fuller Blunt was a music lover
and one of the co-founders of Concert Singers. The scholarship is awarded
to a graduating North Carolina high school senior who has been accepted and
is entering a college or university as a music major. It is a one-time
award of $1,000 paid directly to the college of choice at the beginning of
the academic year.

Please feel free to share this information with any students who may be
interested in applying. More information, including application
instructions and a list of previous winners can be found on our website,
