Our first symphonic choir rehearsal of 2023 is on Jan 23, 7:30-9:30pm
at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church (110 SE Maynard Rd, Cary).



At 8:30 that evening we’ll celebrate the new year with CAKE and a
Volunteer Fair! We’ll have tables set up for singers to discuss
opportunities for which they can get involved with CSC in non-singing
ways.



We’ll welcome our 10 new singers! You don’t want to miss reh one.

For performance dates this spring, please keep in mind the following:

1) Basant Bahar with Hum Sub: Dress rehearsal Saturday morning, March 11;
performance Sunday afternoon March 12.

2) Holst 'The Planets' with NC Symphony, SSA chorus: Rehearsal on April 12,
performances April 13, 14, and 15. Please come this Monday with an
understanding of your calendar for those dates. We can have 35-40 singers
for each performance, so we might try to work out a rotation in case some
folks are not available for those 4 consecutive evenings. We will plan that
sopranos and altos will have Monday, April 10 off from rehearsal. Please
also note that for the Holst the symphony requires all performing musicians
to show documentation of a Covid vaccination and booster. This is their
standard policy for all performers and they are not allowing exceptions.
Those who do not wish to provide such documentation can, of course, be
excused from those performances. For those who sang with us last spring,
the documentation you have already given to CSC will suffice. For those
that need to supply documentation, Thom will set up a Google form soon to
facilitate.

3) Our final performance of the season 'Music of Light' will be Saturday,
April 29, with dress rehearsal on the 28th.

Our first 2023 concert features the CSC Chamber Choir, and is on Jan
31 at the GFBC. Details here:

We need 4 more volunteers for the concert (they get to see the show
for free); 1 tix BO assistant, 2 ushers (surveys/ticket checkers) ,
and 1 walker (wayfinding). If you or a friend is interested please

All CSC singers who paid dues this year (2022-23) are allowed a 50%
discount for this performance! You (and your family/friends that
accompany you [required] at the door) can pay by cash or check [no
credit cards]), $10 per adult ticket; no pre-sales or reservations
(but likely space won’t be a concern).

We have a fundraising event on Thursday Feb 2nd at Papa Murphy's Take
'N' Bake Pizza at the Cary Pkwy location. The fundraiser will last all
day, and to participate, members/family/friends just need to mention
that they're with the Concert Singers of Cary fundraiser.
