Hello there!
BIG NEWS right out of the gate. Please read the following from Megan
Brachtl, our board chair:
"At their monthly meeting on Tuesday, the CSC Board voted again to update
the COVID safety protocols that will apply to singers this fall.
Considering a number of factors, the Board voted to remove the mask mandate
for rehearsals and performances effective immediately. While this means
that CSC singers will no longer be required to wear masks inside our
rehearsal and performance space, singers will always have the option to
wear a mask during rehearsals and performances if you so choose.
Furthermore, any singers who are not comfortable with this change are asked
to reach out to Thom Haynes, Membership Coordinator, and will be fully
refunded in the event they choose not to continue with CSC this season
because of this change to the masking requirement. Our first priority
remains the health and safety of our members, staff, volunteers, and
patrons. Therefore, the Board retains the right to revisit this decision
at any point and will closely monitor the CDC's COVID community levels for
Wake County (which are currently low:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html
As a reminder, any participant that tests positive for COVID-19 or
experiences cold or flu-like symptoms are asked to advise Thom of their
condition as soon as possible. The COVID-positive participant may not
participate in the choir’s activities for a period of 14 days, unless the
participant provides confirmation of a negative COVID-19 test result before
attending rehearsal."

We'll have a seating chart at the reh. Please be on time to

helpers Al Pasquale, Terri Ring, Beverly Olson, Rachael Lubbers, Jeff
White, etc.

directors, etc.

If you ever have trouble finding the weekly Choral Notes in your
inbox, usually sent on Thursdays, look in your email spam folder. We
have not changed the way we send Choral Notes out in years – some
web-based email programs change their spam algorithms on their side,
and that can mean email from CSC you used to see in your inbox is now
shunted into spam.
You can always see old Choral Notes here:

Regarding our fall group Formal Fashions concert attire order. You can
familiarize yourself with our standard wardrobe here:
https://concertsingers.org/members/other-guidelines
Here is the Formal Fashions web site:
https://formalfashionsinc.com/
You are welcome to order on your own, but if you want to save money on
shipping/handling, we put together a group order twice yearly. Plus,
the sizing on women’s clothing is a bit tricky. Terri Ring (our Alto
section leader) has helped fellow singers with this for years, she
says “tops (now $34) run small & skirts ($28) run large”. Cost for
both together is about $62 plus tax/S&H/extra charge for large items.
Here is a form you can fill out to join the group order and get help
from Terri, if needed. You can also email her directly for advice (
tlaring at gmail.com ):
https://forms.gle/6V5KKcm9K6MUGi8x6
Deadline to fill out the form: SUNDAY SEPT 18. That is in 2 DAYS! Let
Thom know if you are having trouble filling out this form.
Men, if you need any tuxedo separates or accessories, you might find
what you need as well at Formal Fashions, and are welcome to order
from there too, just fill out the form.
FF also sells singers’ masks; the form accommodates.

In addition to the public CSC group, we have a private group for
current (and past) CSC singers!
