Greetings, fellow CSC singers (and those auditioning) – We hope you are
enjoying the summer! Plans are underway for CSC Season 32, and many of the
big pieces are in place. You can see a preview of the season on our website

This note contains updates on the following topics:

- CSC Board officers elected for 2022-23
- COVID safety protocols revised for 2022-23 season

First, we'd like to make you aware that with the July 1st start of the new
season and fiscal year, the following individuals were elected as Board
officers at the first meeting of the CSC Board of Directors for the 2022-23
fiscal year:

Megan Brachtl, President
Stacy Hanna, Vice President
Rachael Lubbers, Treasurer
Debbie Carroll, Secretary

Second, the CSC Board has recently voted to update the COVID safety
protocols that will apply to singers starting this fall. The most
significant change is that CSC will no longer require proof of vaccination
to participate in the choir. However, our first priority remains the health
and safety of our members, staff, volunteers, and patrons. Therefore,
protocols around masking, extra spacing, rehearsal length, and
concert/audience requirements will be assessed closer to September based on
conditions at the time. As of right now, choir members should still expect
to wear masks at rehearsal when we resume in September.


We are currently planning to rehearse in our usual room, Marcus Dry,
Mondays at the Cary Arts Center, 7:30-9:30pm. As has been the case for the
past two years, we are continuing to seek alternate spaces, as available,
to allow for more spacing when needed.


Auditions for new singers are scheduled for August 22 and 29. We will not
hold re-auditions this year for any sections (including anyone who took off
the entire time of the pandemic), but please do encourage singers you know
to audition to sing with us (need I say, especially men!)! Our first
rehearsal will be Sept. 12, the Monday after Labor Day. Info on auditions:
