Lá bealtaine!

Our final (required) rehearsal of the spring is Monday May 9 at the
Cary Arts Center theater. Be there ready to go at 7pm. The musicians
will be there; all singers should be especially quiet during this
critical rehearsal and only ask truly necessary questions. We don’t
need to wear our show attire. Turn off your phone.

The concert is of course Tues May 10 at 8pm; your call time is 7pm. We
will have access to the green room and dressing rooms underneath the
Marcus Dry room, in the basement. Don’t leave valuables; doors won’t
be locked, rooms won’t be monitored.

Please review concert etiquette and attire information at these links.
VITAL info in there!

Do not wear perfume, cologne, or scented lotions or sprays to concerts
or rehearsals, as that activates allergies in some people.

Put your music into your black folder in this order:

Serenade to Music
The Winter Owl
Out Damned Spot
For Thy Sweet Love
Fancies

Songs and Sonnets

We must return the Serenade to Music scores after the concert, as they
are borrowed. There will be a box in the green room - please leave
them there after the performance. The scores cost $15 each, and we
will need to pay to replace any that are not returned.

>From board chair Megan Brachtl: "Before the 2020-22 CSC board term
comes to an end, the Board's executive committee would like to express
our sincerest gratitude to Sue Chaploney, Debi DeAnn, and Francesca
(Sessa) Rudden for their dedication to the work of the board and to
the success of CSC over the past several years. Sue has served on the
board since 2016, and most recently served as co-chair of the
fundraising committee, enthusiastically implementing creative ideas
for bringing people together and inspiring them to give back to CSC.
Debi has also served on the board since 2016, and for several years
filled the role as Board treasurer with great diligence and
dedication; more recently, Debi has thrown herself into leading the
marketing committee's efforts to promote our upcoming performance.
Francesca joined the board in 2018, lending her talents to a variety
of efforts, including raising CSC's profile on social media, and
serving skillfully as board secretary for the past 2 years. Sue, Debi,
and Francesca will be departing from the board in June. We also want
to acknowledge the dedicated service and valuable contributions of Al
Pasquale and Alicia Martinez, both of whom recently stepped down from
the board due to other commitments. Please be sure to thank all of
these wonderful volunteers the next time you see them! Without
individuals willing to volunteer their time, talent, and treasure, our
organization cannot meet its mission. The board continues to seek new
members -- particularly from the tenor and bass sections -- to join
for the 2022-24 term. For further information on how to get involved,
please reach out to Megan Brachtl, CSC board chair, at
megan.brachtl at gmail.com, or talk to any of our other board members:
Stacy Hanna, vice chair; Rachael Lubbers, treasurer; Ann Bingham;
Sherry Kilgus-Kramer; Katherine Womack."
