Я майже не розмовляю однією мовою… (translates roughly to “This is a long
one! Your reward is ‘Quotes From Reh’ at the bottom!”)

Our fifth rehearsal of the spring is Monday Mar 7, from 7:30-9:30pm at
the Cary Arts Center theatre.

I’m attaching a new seating chart, with just a few changes.

The price for this spring’s Shakespeare music is $20. Please pay at
the link below via Paypal or credit card, or by check (payable to
‘CSC’) or cash to Thom at rehearsal. If necessary you can also mail a
check to Laura Moore, 614 Morgan Creek Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27517.

Our spring calendar is now fully populated:

https://concertsingers.org/members/calendar/

I’ve also attached it as a PDF. Here are a few key date considerations:

- March 14 we will split up and do sectionals, women at 7:30-8:20, men at
8:30-9:20.

- April 11, 18, 25: we have an application in with WCPSS for rehearsal
locations for these dates.

It’s time to start working on our spring group Formal Fashions concert
attire order. You can familiarize yourself with our standard wardrobe here:

https://concertsingers.org/members/other-guidelines

Here is the Formal Fashions web site:

https://formalfashionsinc.com/

You are welcome to order on your own, but if you want to save money on
shipping/handling, we put together a group order. Plus, the sizing on
women’s clothing is a bit tricky. Terri Ring (our Alto section leader) has
helped fellow singers with this for years, she says “tops ($31) run small &
skirts ($28) run large”. Cost for both together is about $59 plus
tax/S&H/extra charge for large items.

Here is a form you can fill out to join the group order and get help from
Terri, if needed. You can also email her directly for advice:
tlaring at gmail.com

https://forms.gle/6V5KKcm9K6MUGi8x6

Deadline to fill out the form: Wed Mar 16. Let Thom know if you are having
trouble filling out this (or any CSC) form.

Men, if you need any tuxedo separates or accessories, you might find what
you need as well at Formal Fashions, and are welcome to order from there
too, just fill out the form.

FF also sells singers’ masks; the form accommodates.

>From Francesca Rudden: "Did you know that CSC awards a $1000 scholarship to
a graduating North Carolina high school senior majoring in music every
year? If you know anyone who fits that criteria, we are now accepting
applications for this year's scholarship! For more information and to
submit an application, check out the link here:

https://concertsingers.org/about/fuller-blunt-memorial-scholarship/

The application deadline is March 31, 2022 so it's not too late to get
applications in!"

It’s been 3 years since the Town of Cary held the annual outdoor Spring
Daze festival in Bond Park! This year it is on Apr 30, 9-5pm. CSC has a
table in the Cultural Arts row, and we need 8 intrepid singers to volunteer
2 hours each, to sit in pairs at our table (in the shade) and ‘talk up’ CSC
to passers-by. “Hello, do you sing?! Then JOIN US! No? Do you like to
listen to beautiful music? Then COME HEAR US SING! Our spring concert is in
10 days!”. We’ll have handout fliers for you to give people, also souvenir
CDs and old programs (season playbills). To sign up please go here:

The Practice Files page is here, please use these links between
rehearsals to help you improve with the music!

Our webmaster Ellen Schloemer is looking for help with a specific and
important activity; organizing CSC photos and graphics. Please look
here for a description of the need, and let her know if you are
interested!

The fundraising committee has asked me to ask YOU "What is your

favorite thing about singing with the Concert Singers?". Please reply

and let me know, I’ve only heard from a few of you so far!

In addition to the public CSC group, we have a private group for
current (and past) CSC singers!
