Dè an sgàil?

Greetings all! It’s finally time to start rehearsing again! Our first
reh of the spring is Monday Feb 7, from 7:30-9:30pm at the Cary Arts
Center theatre.

If you are planning to participate this spring, please follow the
instructions found in the board letter email sent Jan 16, if you
haven’t already:

https://concertsingers.org/board-letter-to-the-csc-membership-2/

FYI the COVID waiver/protocols doc is now found on the Members menu
bar dropdown menu in our members-only part of the website:

The spring concert will be musical settings of Shakespearean texts. The
title of the concert will be: “Songs, Sonnets, and the Touches of Sweet
Harmony”. The date isn't yet finalized, please hold these dates in your
calendar for now: April 30, May 3, and May 10. We should have the date
determined very soon.

The repertoire will include:

Songs and Sonnets, by George Shearing

We have about 10 new singers joining us this spring!

Sue Chaploney, of the CSC board fundraising committee, has an upcoming
request of you:

“Hello Fellow Singers, I hope everyone is doing well. Last Valentine's Day
we had a very successful Food Drive for Dorcas Ministries Food Pantry.
Valentine's Day is coming and it is a perfect time to give back to our
community and help those in need.

Please join the Concert Singers Board of Directors and contribute
non-perishable food and personal care items for the Dorcas Ministries Food
Pantry located in Cary. The attached flyer has a list of the most needed
items.

There are a few ways to give:

1) We will collect grocery items, checks made payable to Dorcas Food Pantry
and grocery store gift cards ($5, $10 or $20 denominations preferred) at
the Cary Arts Center parking lot (accessible from Faculty Avenue on the
right side of building) during the following days and times:

Saturday, February 19, from 10 am to 12 pm

Sunday, February 20, from 12 pm to 2 pm

You won't even need to get out of your car. Just open your trunk and we
will collect what you bring. (Please note that all volunteers will be
wearing masks and practicing social distancing throughout the event. Please
be prepared with your mask, too!)

2) Alternatively, a really easy and safe way to donate is on Amazon at this
Dorcas link:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/12IW10VX71JRT/ref=bnav_topnav_lists_3
?

3) You can also bring your donation to a rehearsal and I will collect it
then.

Members of the Board will present the donations to Dorcas on Monday,
February 21, at 10 am. Thank you in advance for all your help! If you have
any questions, please call or text Sue Chaploney at 919-946-1180.”

In addition to the public CSC group, we have a private group for
current (and past) CSC singers!
