As the Duke would say, “Howdy pilgrims”!

This is a LONG C Notes - please read it all the way thru to the bitter
(sweet!) end! :)

Our tenth fall rehearsal is Monday Nov 22, 7:30-9:30pm at the Shiloh
Presbyterian Church (524 E Whitaker Mill Rd, Raleigh). Note that we will
meet for two hours, with a 20 min break in the middle.

>From Greg Tarsa: “The church is less than 1/2 mile from 5 Points.
There is an entrance to the parking lot at the given address. There is
also an entrance to the parking lot on Georgetown Rd. There are three
ways into the building, marked with green dots on the attached map.”
Thanks Greg!!

At Shiloh we can keep somewhat the same seating arrangement. Please
sit according to the list below, approximately as you were before.
Please arrive a few minutes early so we can get everything arranged
and start singing at 7:30.

Seating at Shiloh Pres:
[count rows from the front; LEFT and RIGHT side of the rows are as you face
the front]
Soprano 1: Right side of rows 7-9
Soprano 2: Right side of row 10, all of rows 11 & 12, and balcony if needed
Alto 1: Right side of rows 3-6
Alto 2: All of rows 1 & 2, right side of row 3 as needed
Tenor 1: Left side of rows 5-6
Tenor 2: Left side of rows 3-4
Bass 1: Left side of rows 9-10
Bass 2: Left side of rows 7-8

PLEASE spend some time this week rehearsing the music at home. The practice
files are your friends!

https://concertsingers.org/members/practice-files/

Some of the practice songs are FAST – some of them do allow adjustments in
playback speed.

Especially for those of us who struggle with foggy glasses, it’s great to
practice without that (mask) impediment. Watch your pitches, accidentals,
note length, dynamics, tempos, and rhythm. Make bold notations in your
music to help you quickly navigate tricky passages!

We now have some additional files for you to look over at this location:

Hineih Ma Tov:
We did not get to this song in the last rehearsal, as I (Nathan) had hoped
and as we needed to. I've made some practice guides, and also copied my score
with markings. There are 3 parts; altos and ten1 sing the tenor part, and
bass and tenor 2 sing the bass part. Please practice Hineih and be sure
your score is marked before Monday.

Seasonal Sounds:
We also now have ATB practice guides for the Rudolph sections (none for
Soprano).

Everyone, please check out the attire guidelines so you are set for Holiday
Pops. Women, you especially will want to examine the info on tops/blouses:

The calendar has been adjusted to reflect these rehearsal changes:

- Nov. 29 - 7:30-9:30, again at Shiloh

- Dec. 6 - 7:30-9:30, at Price Music Center, room 120, NC State
campus, full length with 20 minute break

Welcome to our guest tenor for the Pops concert, NCSU student Dylan
Magistrado! We will have chairs on the risers for the Dec 11 concert. If
you’ve been attending most fall rehs but are unable to sing with us at the
Dec 11 Pops concert, please let us know; we need to firm up our expected
numbers soon.

If you might like to sing with us at the Dec 4 Cary Christmas Tree
Lighting, please fill out this form!

We'll sing a few of our Holiday Pops songs at the tree lighting. We
don't yet know the exact time commitment, but likely we'll meet at
