And now, an edition of Attire Talk. Please read thru this long section...


CSC leadership has decided that for this December’s Holiday Pops, ladies
will wear our black concert dress skirt but we will revert back to having
different festive colored tops (and no red flower pins).


More info on those different-colored blouses will come later, but for now,
if you do not yet own our specific black CSC-style skirt, I will put
together a group order soon (that reduces shipping/handling cost for all).
What we need from you, ladies, if you don’t yet have the skirt (or want a
new one), is to fill out this form:

The deadline for you to fill out the form to participate in the group order
is October 24.

alto section lead Terri Ring: “Formal Fashions skirts are quite generous
and have elastic waists. They come unhemmed; the fabric cuts easily, and
you can use hemming tape in a pinch if you’re not a seamstress. Please hem
your skirt to brush the tops of whatever shoes you’re wearing. We can
recommend the size if you give us your waist and hip measurements. Measure
around natural waist and the fullest part of hips. The sooner we get
measurements & order in, the more time singers will have to hem their
skirts.” FF told me today we should get the skirts 2 weeks after order, so
that’s good.

You should not order a black formal top (blouse) at this time because choir
leadership is considering changing to a new black style (starting in the
spring). More info on this will be coming as the fall progresses, stay
tuned, but know, ladies, that you WILL have a say in which new style (if
any) is selected. The skirt style will not be changed.



Men, no change: still black tuxes (and red bowties that we will supply) :)
If any guys want to purchase any items from Formal Fashions (they have all
the tux stuff) as part of the group order, please email Thom.


Oh and FF also offers singing masks. If any of you want to order one, it
takes about 1 month from order to receiving the goods. There are 7 styles
to choose from:

If you want to order a mask, you will have to do that on your own – it just
makes a group order too too complicated. In that case, ladies, if getting a
mask AND a skirt you might just want to do that on your own…
