HHHH iiii !!!!

Our next reh is Mon Nov 2, 7:30-9pm. Thom likely won’t be there as he
will be setting up as a poll-worker for the Tues election. The link
remains the same each week, and is in the calendar entry:

https://concertsingers.org/members/calendar/

Here is the link and pwd:

Please look at the Google Drive – lots of changes!

https://drive.google.com/drive/u/5/folders/1FsPKv1MBvXpEagoguSuEVwpRbtYEh4z8

1. The practice audio files have been moved to song directories.
Please note that when you play MP3 files directly on GDrive, they
sometimes ‘lock up’ especially after repeated pause/play. If that
happens, just refresh the page, or download the file to your PC.

2. There are 3 new documents for you to read and consult as references:

a. Submission Protocols: instructions for submitting everything,
with links to Google Forms

b. Video Recording Protocols: for Jingle Bells (the only song we
are recording with video that you will sing)

c. Audio Recording Protocols: for all the other songs that you
will sing – audio only, no video

We are still waiting to get the piano part files, but until then, you
still can record your parts if you want, listening to what is already
out there (e.g. 'Deck the Hall', due EOD Nov. 2) -- because the tempo
of the click tracks (metronome) will be the same.

Also, the instructions for getting us image and non-singing video
files for the video montages we are doing for two of the songs are
also included. Singers who are not participating in Holiday Pops are
still encouraged to send us their submissions!

Get with me (Thom) if you have any questions about all this, I know
it’s a lot! But please read through all the Choral Notes and the three
'Protocols' documents before asking questions.

A few changes to what was due on certain dates were announced last
Monday. One sad change is, we are no longer singing “It’s The Most
Wonderful Time of the Year“ due to royalty difficulties.

The Google calendar is up-to-date, and I’ve added “due date” reminders
to it, please look at it in 'monthly view' to get a good overview. Add
the due dates to your personal calendar! The following is the
corrected plan:

UPCOMING:

Nov. 2: Rehearsal, work on AUDIO RECORDING: Deck the Hall (due end-of-day)

Nov. 9: Rehearsal, work on VIDEO/AUDIO RECORDING: Jingle Bells (due end-of-day)

Nov. 16: Rehearsal, work on AUDIO RECORDING: Home for the Holidays
(due end-of-day)

Nov. 23: Rehearsal, work on AUDIO RECORDING: Rudolph (due end-of-day)
