[New_csc_newsline] Broadcast from Home instructions

Hello Concert Singers - We are very excited to get started with Chapter 10
of Broadcast From Home. A big THANK YOU to Lisa for Zooming with us tonight.

The audio files and waiver need to be submitted to me *by 5 pm on Monday,
June 8*. Please also remember that Monday-Wednesday, we may have additional
small items to record, which will be composed in response to what is sent
in.

The written music for the vocal phrases are attached. One pdf with
Soprano/Alto, one with Tenor/Bass. You can learn and sing them on your own,
with your own piano, keyboard, piano app on your phone, etc. Or you can use
the audio practice files on the website:
https://www.lisabielawa.net/broadcast-from-home If you do not have a
keyboard or metronome at home, there are free apps you can download.

*Recording process:*
-Recording on your phone is fine. If you have more sophisticated equipment,
you may use that.
-Do a short audio check before you record. Sing something high-ish and
loud-ish, then listen to the playback. We want to avoid distortion in the
recording. When using your phone, probably hold your phone 1-2 feet away
from your mouth.
-Try to avoid background noise when you record, as much as is practicable.
-Ideally, you will record five separate files, one file for each Roman
Numeral on the sheet of vocal phrases.
-NAME your files according to the following formula:
[Voice part, one letter S, A, T, or B][First name][Roman numeral of phrase]
So, for Nathan Leaf, tenor, singing the section that begins with "the city
is not the same," the file name would be:
TNathanIII

Solomon to use my voice recording, in part or in whole, in a published
musical work, in all electronic media (including the Internet), in
theatrical media and/or in communications for educational and awareness.
I hereby grant permission to use my name in connection with such use.
