Mere doston ko badhaee,
Our next rehearsal will be Mon Mar 9, it will be solely for March
HumSub/Basant (6 of 7), 7:30-9:30pm at the Cary Arts Center (Marcus
Dry room).
(The next Mozart reh won’t be until Mar 23.)
Board member Rachael Lubbers asks: "Do you work for one of the following
companies? If so, the board’s Corporate Sponsorship Committee would love a
little bit of your input. Please see Rachael Lubbers
Rachael.lubbers at gmail.com at break during one of the next few rehearsals
for more information!
PNC, Deutsche Bank, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Lenovo, GSK, Met Life,
Fidelity, Net App, Duke Energy, Rex, Wake Med, Cisco, Red Hat/IBM, Epic
Games, SAS"
We will likely place ourselves up the aisles (along with on-stage) for
Shanti Mantra, without music or book down, so – memorize! (Don’t sweat
it, we’ll get it in muscle memory through repetitive practice.)
Jeff White (tenor) had a great suggestion (optional, do this if you want!):
· copy your marked-up Shanti Mantra music (staff) page twice on one
double-sided piece of paper, then single-sided on a second piece of paper.
· Insert the double-sided one after page one of the printed PDF,
and the single-sided one at the end. Now, as you turn pages, you will
always have music on one side and one of the three Indian notation pages on
the other!
· Chamber choir: you can do something similar with Tarana if you’d
like

Tarsa (bass) created a Shanti Mantra PDF that makes the music (staff) page
much darker, and therefore easier to see. I replaced the old PDF with his
on the Practice Files page.
