Bem-vindo!

Our next rehearsal is Mon Jan 27, 7:30-9:30pm at the Cary Arts Center
(Marcus Dry room). It will be our 2nd of 7 MAR (Basant Bahar) rehs, and our
2nd of 3 FEB (Big Sing) rehs.

There will be 68 Big Sing fliers (8x11" posters) at the hall table! Please
take one (or maybe two) if you have a good target location, where many
people might see it - a work breakroom, coffeehouse, etc. You can access it
online here:

Pronunciation audio files (slow, fast) for Svaagat have been added!

Many of you have expressed a desire for a way to get contact info of fellow
singers outside of rehs. Well I'm pleased to report we have created a "CSC
Membership Directory"! You can access it here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NdANnhVBt4Z-2K0S25MUOH7sW_TYTFSflRzsrEHP8sM

You can only view the info, not edit/change it (only admins can do that
directly). You can sort on any column(s). No stranger can find this
directory by a web search, only if they are given the web address (URL).

You may optionally add your info by clicking here:
https://forms.gle/XLZdJWRw19qzHEey7
<https://forms.gle/XLZdJWRw19qzHEey7?fbclid=IwAR35GC5z8GUR5VCvb0ZTkiOPvsKoQvEVd6m_cV_haPMWwHIpgZZLrne7PoE>
(the
form may require you to sign in first to Google. That's the only way to
prevent allowing someone to enter multiple entries).

Note that most fields are optional - you can enter whatever you are
comfortable adding. Also, we do not want street addresses, but you can add
your town name, to help facilitate carpooling and knowledge of who lives
near you. Finally, the Notes field allows you to add a link to more info
about you: Facebook (where others can see your picture), Instagram, a
personal web site, etc. Unfortunately we can't set this up to directly
embed a picture in your spreadsheet row.

If you want to change your info later, you can access that same form web
address above to modify.

Any suggestions on improvement please let me (Thom) know!

I've been asked to remind you that usage of your cellphone during reh is
not permitted. When Nathan is working with a different section than yours
you should still be engaged and listening; what they are going over likely
is relevant to your part too.

The rest of this email (below) is the same as last week's!

Costs for spring music: $6 for MAR, and $15 for MAY (Mozart). Links are up
on the Paypal page: http://concertsingers.org/members/paypal-links/ You
just pay for the ones you are picking up music for. Note: if you are not
going to NYC with us in late May we still want you to sing the Mozart with
us May 16! If you prefer to pay with check or cash (actually that is better
for CSC, no Paypal fees) you can hit me up at reh.

Catherine Bennett of the board fundraising committee announces we have our
first 2020 dining event: City Barbecue (Cary) will give 25% back to us on
Thu, Feb 13, 10:30am-10:00pm! Mark your cal.

We are holding a food drive in conjunction with the Big Sing - choir
members and guests are asked to bring non-perishables that will later be
donated to Dorcas Ministries. Look for a link to their biggest needs on the
web page and Facebook event. Oh and breaking news - this just in, it seems
Cookies will be available after the Huge Sing!

Our exec dir Laura Moore says the board requests legal help in drafting a
waiver form for the Carnegie Hall trip, if you or someone you know has
expertise and is willing to talk with her, she'd be very grateful.
