Concert Singers - I am so looking forward to our rehearsal and concert
tomorrow. A few reminders and notices:

-The stage set up had to be (unexpectedly) slightly different than planned.
Thus, the seating chart has a few adjustments. We will have copies there
for you to see, but please plan to arrive early to be sure you know where
you are going.
-We have an optional warm up at 12:50. The rehearsal will begin promptly at
1:00. It is important to be early, as it is difficult to get to your seat
if you arrive late. Late arrivals are very disruptive.

The first item on the rehearsal schedule is The Hope of Loving. You are
singing this so well. As we have discussed, balance with the string quartet
will be a challenge. Please be prepared to sing softly and to listen
intensely. Also be prepared if I say in certain spots we will only have
part of the choir sing to quickly make that adjustment. Please know if I
say that some rows will not sing in certain places it is not because anyone
is doing anything wrong. It's because that's what the music requires
for balance. We are larger than last year, and so we will have to adjust
accordingly. A 110 voice choir can sing only so softly, so if the balance
requires it to be softer, that means we will have to have fewer people
singing in certain sections.

When we have the students with us, space will be very tight. The adjusted
stage set up is better in some ways, but less good in other ways. We have
to keep to a tight schedule, so please do your best to work out in your own
area how you can see.
