Dear Concert Singers - thank you all for a lovely and highly productive
rehearsal on Monday. It is coming together!

With our highly focused time in rehearsal, the Turkey Shoot fundraiser sign
up did not get highlighted, but I do want to encourage everyone to please

I appreciate that the Turkey Shoot may seem like a strange pairing as a
fundraiser for our choir (I must confess, none of my doctoral coursework
covered the proper handling of turkeys or targets in a choral situation).
It certainly is a new venture, and it is an opportunity that presented
itself over the summer. The board had significant discussion and ultimately
decided to pursue it as a replacement for a gala fundraiser in part
*because* it was a new and hopefully fun opportunity to raise some funds
and for choir members to get to know each other and work together. It also
has potential to raise more money for the choir than our recent gala events
have done.

So please do sign up for a time. If you'd like it to be more of a gala
event, you are welcome to wear a bow tie!
