Our first fall rehearsal is this Monday Sep 9, 7:30-9:30pm at the Cary Arts
Center (Marcus Dry room). Come early and meet/greet the 26 spankin’ new
singers we welcome!! 10 sops, 11 alts, 2 tens, 3 bas’s. Bring water and
pencils!

When you arrive (by 7:15pm!) Monday the first table you come to will have
me behind it (and maybe Debi Deann our treasurer) – this is the payment
table, you should get in line there if at that time you need still to pay
$21 for Oct music and/or $100 for dues (or $115 for dues and a tote bag –
see attached picture; limited number [50 I think], only available packaged
with dues payment). We accept cash or (preferred) checks. You can save time
for all by filling out your check beforehand (payable to ‘CSC’ – you should
combine items into one check, just indicate in the memo section – e.g. “$21
music, $115 dues and bag”). Then go to the second table. Do not pass go, do
not collect $200…



If you already paid by Paypal (which you can do here:
https://concertsingers.org/members/paypal-links/ - you don’t need to show
your Paypal receipt to us) you can ignore me and go straight to the second
table (un-manned) where you can get your Oct music and your tote bag (if
you bought one – Sue Chaploney will be helping with the bags). New singers,
you should also pick up a nametag at the music table and meet Alicia
Martinez there, she will tell you about the DUET mentoring program. Also
hovering around that table should be section leaders Terri Ring (altos),
Beverly Olson (sopranos), Simon Bate (tenors) and Thom Haynes (basses – no
wait, I’ll be at the payment table!), you’ll also want to meet your lead.



A word on Paypal – in the past we’ve urged you to pay that way, but now we
encourage checks, because Paypal charges us a 3% fee.



Once you have your music etc please head into the Marcus Dry room so the
hallway isn’t too congested, and take your seat in your section’s area
(there will be a seating chart). After you sing your little hearts out (I
will miss, I have to leave once reh starts), the last part of rehearsal #1
will be dedicated to choir announcements and an overview of the NYC
Carnegie Hall trip slated for May. Nathan will ask you to sign up,
answering some key questions, and pay your $300 first installment by check
(or $310 over at our Paypal page).



And then, rumor has it… CAKE shall be served!
