Dear Concert Singers – I hope you are all enjoying the summer! Your
directors and board are busy making plans, budgets, and all the necessary
things for next season. Shortly after our board meeting next week, I should
be able to send you more details about our upcoming season. At the end of
this email is a list of our concert dates for next season – please pencil
them in to your calendars.
But first, there are two action items for everyone regarding our Carnegie
Hall trip: 1. Review basic information and, 2. Complete a short interest
survey by June 15, link here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NFZQ26S
The first deposit of $300 is due October 1 – that is also the date by which
we need to have 125 total singers committed to going (that includes NC
State singers and other groups besides Concert Singers). Based on verbal
responses, I am confident we will have enough singers going, but if, for
some reason we did not get enough, then the trip would be cancelled.
1. INFORMATION TO REVIEW
There are two basic packages from which to choose. Choir members will be
able to pick which ever package they prefer (we do not all have to pick the
same one).
FULL CONCERT RESIDENCY
-$1599 per person
-Includes 4 nights at a 4-star hotel in Midtown Manhattan (Quad occupancy)
-Includes transportation on the concert day between the hotel, Carnegie
Hall, Chelsea Piers, and back
-Post-concert cruise with dinner and 2 drink tickets included
-Group airfare and airport transfer available (additional cost)
-Non-performer package includes everything on the performer package, plus a
parquet-level ticket to the performance
CONCERT ONLY RESIDENCY
*-*$899 per person
-Does not include any lodging or transportation
-Post-concert cruise with dinner and 2 drink tickets included
-Non-performer package available for $499- parquet-level concert ticket,
cruise ticket, and admission to all rehearsals included
Please note that neither of these packages include the transportation to
NYC. We will make those arrangements on our own. We can explore charter bus
options (less expensive) and group airfare options. You can also fly on
your own using frequent flyer miles or whatever you prefer. You can note
there are no events scheduled in NYC on May 20 or 24 – those are travel
days. We will have one rehearsal on May 21 (could be any time of day), and
one rehearsal on May 22. So, on these days there will be free time to do
other fun things. May 23 will be a full day, with dress rehearsal, concert,
and boat cruise.
