Symphonic Choir - a fine rehearsal on Monday. Next Monday I will ask for
some volunteers to help with set up and tear down for the concert. We will
do the set up at 6:00 on Friday, before the Chamber Choir rehearsal

We still do have several things to tighten up, musically. Please look over
your music before Monday. If you have a piano and can play the part, great.
Or listen to the recording and practice. But even if not, if you simply
look through it, you can practice speaking the words in rhythm (for the
tricky rhythmic spots) and even more, remind yourself of everything so it
is fresh in your mind when you come on Monday.

In particular, please look over these spots:
FERN HILL
p. 18-22 (entrances especially)
p. 39-41 (noting text and rhythm especially)

THOMPSON ALLELUIA
lots of little spots, especially breathing and phrases
corners of mouth in for beautiful vowels
altos, m. 64

I DREAM A WORLD
Remember the legato phrasing

ANGEL BAND
Individual parts in first 2 verses

THE PROMISE OF LIVING
TB, p 7-10
SA, p. 11-15

The concert order is:

Alleluia, Thompson
Fern Hill
INTERMISSION
Chamber Choir (Hard Times, Requiem, Light of a Clear Blue)
I Dream a World
Flight Song
Angel Band
Unclouded Day
Promise of Living

We will not be performing Stomp Your Foot or the Kirchner Hallelujah.
Sadly, we just are out of time to prepare everything. Too much music in too
short a time. The concert is going to be wonderful - I hope you are looking
forward to it as much as I am.

Nathan
