Dear Singers and Friends,

Twice each year WCPE "The Classical Station" has an on-air fund
raising campaign. In recent years we have acted to support the
station by conducting a drive among our membership so that those who
want to support the station can help the Concert Singers of Cary at
the same time. For those who haven't participated in the past,
here's how it works:

Public broadcasters traditionally offer "premiums" to
donors, such as T-shirts, mugs, music CDs, or tote bags as an
incentive. WCPE offers on-air announcements for large gifts. For
$500, the premium is a monthly announcement, and for $1000 there
is a weekly announcement. For the past several years, we as CSC
have collected enough to entitle us to two announcements a week,
at various times during the day.
You will receive your individual acknowledgement and tax receipt
from WCPE for your donation; however, you won't receive a mug
since your gift will be counted as a portion of the total we
raise.

For the next several weeks, up until the rehearsal on March 24, I
will be taking your donations for WCPE. To make sure credit goes
where it due, please make your check payable to "WCPE Radio", and in
the memo line put "CSC Project". I know that many of you already
enjoy and support the programming on WCPE. Your gift through our
project will help WCPE in its mission to bring great music to the
community and the world, and it will help make our community aware
of the mission of the Concert Singers of Cary.

If you are on the CSC Newsline list and would like to contribute but
are not singing in the current project, you can send your check to
me at my home address, below.
