To all members,

For the 2013-14 season we again have a colorful season program
booklet containing program details for all four concerts. It is
be very much like the one for the 12-13 season, and it also
contains details about the CSC Gala.

So this season we want to make a bigger push to get ads in the
program booklet from the business supporters and individuals;
these ads are an important source of revenue for CSC, and our
budget assumes that we'll get a bump it up a notch over what we
did last year. Like the one from the last season, it will
contain full listings of program numbers, composers, and program
notes.

I have prepared packets for potential advertisers which include:

A cover letter describing the advertising
project and numbers for past and expected attendance
A copy of last season's program brochure, so they know what to
expect
A copy of the 13-14 season announcement, so they know what
we're offering
A data sheet with specifics as to costs, people to contact,
etc.
A "mechanicals" format sheet detailing ad sizes, margin
requirements, etc.

If you have a relationship with a potential advertiser in which
you'd feel comfortable making an approach to ask that an ad be
placed in our program, pick up a packet at rehearsal and drop me
an email to let me know you have it an who you plan to pass it
on to. Most any business in the local area is a potential
advertiser: Doctor, Dentist, Vet, Car mechanic, Restaurant,
Retail store, you name it. Over half of our program distribution
will be made before the holiday shopping season is over. We'll
even accept "CONGRATULATIONS!" from individuals. The entire
process, from submitting copy to making payment, can be handled
on-line, although we provide contact info for those needing
assistance or more information. All we ask of you is to make
the initial contact and get the packet into the hands of the
prospective advertiser.

If you are willing to help in a bigger way with this short-term
project, please contact me and we can discuss a strategy and get
packets for you to get to the potential clients. And by
"short-term" I mean that the ad copy has to be ready to go to
the printer by October 21 so that we have them to distribute to
our audience at the November 18 concert.
