Your singing was outstanding and the presentation came off beautifully. It’s always rewarding for me personally to see what is only a program plan and concept come to life in a concert setting. The energy, joy and expressiveness the we experience are precious moments that explain why we dedicate so much of ourselves to the process of music making. For me, the preparation work that leads to great music making is as much a part of the reward as the performance itself. The experience of making music in a way where the sum is greater than the individual parts is an experience that we all long for, especially when we live in a world that seems determined to drive us apart. Our ultimate goal is to invite our audience into that process and I feel that your outstanding efforts have made that happen in both of our fall season projects, despite the significantly different program content.

Special thanks go out to Bill Leslie for his willingness to join us and for adding such variety and contrast to our large scale efforts. I also want to thank Allen Bailey for being such an extraordinarily professional musician at the piano and for knowing just what to do at the just right time. I also want to thank Jenn Myers for her superb singing and for being such an effective support person in fulfilling the needs of Assistant Conductor and Concert Coordinator. Many thanks as well to our fabulous board who have been so supportive in securing the resources to make CSC so successful. Finally, I want to thank you, our singers for your wonderful support in building our audience. I have access to the list of names who purchase tickets in advance and could clearly see that you were deeply involved in creating near sell outs for both shows.

I hope that you all have a wonderful and restful holiday season!
