<div> </div><div>If you are interested in helping CSC with its<strong> technology</strong> needs, we want you!  If you have skill and interest in helping in this area (and yes, that's pretty vague we know), please email <a href="mailto:ellen.schloemer@gmail.com" target="_blank"><font size="4">ellen.schloemer@gmail.com</font></a>. We'll set up an informational meeting to talk more about tech needs and opportunities, once we have a core group assembled. </div>

<p>One specific need we have right now is for 2 volunteers to help build and maintain a database of CSC constituents - that is, our members, donors, partners, and other supporters. Our goal is to use this database to support our membership communications, external marketing, fund-raising, and audience development efforts.  </p>

<div>Initially, the volunteer Database Administrators (DBAs) will:</div><div> </div><div> 1. consult with the CSC General Manager, Board of Directors, and Development and Membership committees on the kinds of information needed in a common database</div>
<div> 2. evaluate low or no-cost database software options, such as Salesforce.com, and recommend the best option for CSC</div><div> 3. build the initial database, and</div><div> 4. develop a series of standardized reports for use by the CSC groups mentioned in #1.</div>
<div> </div><div>Going forward, the DBAs would educate other CSC volunteers on how to update/ add database records, and handle more technical database projects as needed.  </div>
<p>DBAs would be members of the CSC Technology Committee, and be responsible to the General Manager for timely completion of projects. Skills required include experience or interest in database work, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines.  </p>
