You really rose to occasion! When I went up to Bill to say thank you his first words were “Wow…the chorus was outstanding! They really kicked it up a notch from rehearsal last night!” I totally agree. Sopranos…you really nailed the high A, better than you have ever done before. The full rich sound from all of the sections was evident and your hard work on the German paid off. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I also want to thank Patty, Sarah, Wade and Don for being the fabulously wonderful singers that they are and for their contribution to making the event possible. I cherish your work and your friendship and I am deeply thankful for both. I also want to thank everyone from the Durham Symphony who made the concert happen. Most of the chorus members are unaware that we came within hours of canceling the project in mid-December due to budget shortfalls. Thanks to the hard work of all involved we were able to raise the needed funds to keep the project going. We believed in it and felt that it would be successful but we never dreamed that we would see a sellout and such strong support by the African American Community. It was indeed a night to celebrate.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Thanks again, for an outstanding performance. Symphonic Choir will be on break for awhile as Chamber Choir begins rehearsals on Monday, January 24<sup>th</sup> for the <i>Music of Our Time</i> concert.
