We are pleased to announce that CSC has a new, larger rehearsal location, for the fall at least. We will practice in the sanctuary at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, located at 110 SE Maynard Rd in Cary. This location will enable us to spread out more than in Marcus Dry, and also hear each other better than in the CAC theater house. We are appreciative of the people at GFBC for making this possible. Our plans for the fall and spring: https://concertsingers.org/our-season/ It is very helpful for CSC?s planning to have an approximate understanding of who is going to be singing this season. Typically, we are able to get a pretty close estimation based on the last year, by assuming that people who sang last year will continue to sing unless they inform us otherwise. As you can imagine, that doesn?t quite work this year, as several people have sat out the last year or so because of the circumstances, but are hoping to come back and sing. We've heard from some who are planning to return. If you have not already done so, please let us know your plans for the season by completing this very short survey OR by paying your $100 dues as soon as you are able. Thank you! https://forms.gle/kJL67kzdT2zXRmj88 https://concertsingers.org/members/paypal-links/ Here's a repeat of what we sent you July 22: "The CSC Board has recently voted to update the COVID safety protocols that will apply to singers starting this fall. The most significant change is that CSC will no longer require proof of vaccination to participate in the choir. However, our first priority remains the health and safety of our members, staff, volunteers, and patrons. Therefore, protocols around masking, extra spacing, rehearsal length, and concert/audience requirements will be assessed closer to September based on conditions at the time. As of right now, choir members should still expect to wear masks at rehearsal when we resume in September." We still have 3 Lazy Daze slots with no volunteers; PLEASE consider signing up for one!! Thanks to those who already have. The two annual Town of Cary festivals are a way we give back to the town, and advertise for new singers and audience members. The fall fest follows quickly after the spring, and it is already time to recruit table-sitters from you, our fabulous CSC members!! LAZY DAZE 2022 is 9-5pm on both Sat Aug 27 and Sun Aug 28 in downtown Cary. All the info: https://www.townofcary.org/recreation-enjoyment/events/festivals/lazy-daze-arts-and-crafts-festival Please consider volunteering for a slot at this signupgenius link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0F4BADA72AA02-lazy It?s an easy, shady gig, you just sit and smile and talk to people walking by and who stop at the booth. We?ll have giveaways and other materials for you. I need more help than normal because, they?ve extended the hours to 9-5pm on BOTH days! :) Thank you for considering, and I look forward to our first rehearsal on Sept 12!! In addition to the public CSC group, we have a private group for current (and past) CSC singers! https://www.facebook.com/groups/CurrentCSCSingers/ "CSC Membership Directory? for current (and past) singers: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NdANnhVBt4Z-2K0S25MUOH7sW_TYTFSflRzsrEHP8sM Add or change your info here: https://forms.gle/XLZdJWRw19qzHEey7 Thom Haynes membership at concertsingers.org ; cell 919-454-1577 The Concert Singers of Cary "Voices Heard throughout the Triangle"
