Choral Notes for the week of 11/02/15

 

Monday night rehearsal:

 

*	Chamber chorus (Cloudburst) = 7:00pm - 7:50pm - M-10
*	Full Symphonic chorus = 7:30pm - 9:30pm - Marcus Dry

 

Note:

 

If you were not at last Monday night's rehearsal, make sure to see your
section leader so you can write in Joseph Flummerfelt's Haydn markings
before rehearsal. Also, please note: the Haydn performance recording is now
up on the website.

 

Promote our concert!

 

You will be happy to hear that you will NOT be asked to contribute a bottle
of wine to the Wall of Wine this year! Instead of having a Gala to raise
funds for The Concert Singers of Cary, there will be a few small Chamber and
Ensemble fund raising concerts. The first of these concerts is the
"Cloudburst" concert on November 8th. This concert is at The Matthews House
and features a Chamber chorus singing very diverse music, preceded by
descriptive introductions from the podium and ends with wine, cheese, fruit,
and mingling with the singers (who are acting as emissaries from The Concert
Singers of Cary.) Bring a friend (or friends) and introduce them to The
Concert Singers of Cary. What a great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday
afternoon. hearing exciting music in a delightful setting. with great
acoustics. followed by a little wining and dining!
