Dear Singers,

I am writing to congratulate you on a wonderful performance last night! You sang with sensitivity to phrasing, color and dynamics, and did it with energy and style that carried the evening. It was some of your best ensemble singing, and that made for a grand night for performers and audience alike. Your work, combined with the sensational work from Ed and the band produced an evening that we will long remember. For that I am deeply thankful. Our World Music concerts have produced some memorable evenings but none exceeded this one. It was a major success in our ongoing efforts to break new artistic ground, expand our audience appeal, and reach out to our multicultural community.

I want to extend my deepest thanks to Ed, Ryan, Cat and Vattel for the chance to collaborate with them, and to Cecil and Iryna for adding their spellbinding tango dancing. What a joy to work with all of you!

I also want to thank Diego Pavon and Marina Enslen for their help in our preparation on the Spanish and Portuguese text. We would never have brought it to the high level that we did without your help. Bravo to Fran, Jenn, Diego, and Wes for their work on the solos, and to Allen for his usual outstanding work on some very challenging material.

I also want to let you know that I have decided to wait a week to begin rehearsals for Peer Gynt. You have all worked so hard that a night off is well earned, so we will not rehearse tomorrow night. We will have our first rehearsal on April 27th. Also, we still have a few open spots for Peer Gynt, so if you are interested, let me know.

Thank you again, Symphonic Choir for an outstanding performance, and an outstanding concert season!

Sincerely,

Larry
