Choral Notes for the week of 4/13/15

 

 

Performance week rehearsal schedule:

 

*       Monday, 13th - 7:15pm - 9:30pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church

*       Wednesday, 15th - 7:00pm - 9:30pm at Herb Young Community Center,
Room A

*       Saturday, 18th - 2:00pm - 4:30pm on stage at CAC

*       Saturday, 18th - 7:00pm call; 7:30pm Performance CAC

 

Concert Attire:

 

*       Men - Tuxes 

*       Women - Standard concert dress (all black - dress shoes, hose; no
necklaces or wrist jewelry; small stud earrings only)

*       Everyone - black folders; no scented products of any sort.

 

Peer Gynt concert - last concert of the season

 

In addition to the Bach/Pergolesi Chorale singers, there are a limited
number of openings (SATB) in the group for this last concert. If you are
interested in singing this concert with the Chamber Orchestra of the
Triangle, please email Larry ( <mailto:larryspeakman at gmail.com>
larryspeakman at gmail.com) for consideration. You must be available for the
following rehearsal dates (as far as Larry knows to-date):

*       4/20, 4/27, 5/04, 5/11, 5/18, 5/17, 5/22, 5/23, Performance 5/24

Spring Daze - Saturday, April 25 - Volunteers needed!

 

We will be manning our CSC booth again this year at the Cary yearly Spring
Daze arts and crafts festival. Why? you might ask. Aside from being valuable
to us from a publicity stand point, the Town of Cary encourages artistic
groups to participate in as many of their Town events as possible. This
helps the Town's image in the community and also benefits CSC when applying
for financial funding through Grants.

Volunteers will be asked to commit to two-hour shifts beginning at 9:00am.
As in previous years, you will not need to bring anything, except water;
chairs will be provided as will hand out materials, sign-up sheets and
directions. Please email me, MMIngridnc at gmail.com

fill. We need two people per slot; either Larry or I will also be there to
help if needed.

*       Times: 9:00am - 11:00am, 11:00am - 1:00pm, 1:00pm - 3:00pm, 3:00pm -
5:00pm.
