*Members of Speakman Vocal Arts, my private voice teaching studio, will be
presenting a free solo recital at 7:00pm on Monday, June 2nd, at
Page-Walker. Allen Bailey will serve as accompanist. Soloists who
are members of The Concert Singers of Cary include Joe Ferguson and Ingrid
Speakman, Yojin Leem, and Cynthia Gwynn. Also performing are high school
students Daniel Fetter and Mitchell Bergens.*

This is a great opportunity for boys to be part of a dynamic and
wonderfully educational program. Larry Speakman and Simon Bate will be part
of this ensemble.

The Christ Church Choir of Men and Boys will begin this summer!



The only choir of its kind in the state, the Christ Church Choir of Men and
Boys is accepting 12 - 15 boys in grades 3 - 7 (with unchanged
voices).  Participants do not have to be members of Christ Church.



The boys will sing serious, four-part (or more) classical music alongside
experienced adults.  They will rehearse twice a week, on Sunday evenings
and Wednesday afternoons, and will sing two morning services per month in
addition to concerts and services of choral evensong. This choir will have
the option to tour both domestically and abroad in future years.



Each boy in the choir will receive private vocal instruction for one month
out of the program year and we will take fun outings as a choir to do
things like play laser tag, indoor rock climbing, and perhaps to sing the
national anthem at a local college basketball game.
