*A Message from Larry and The Gala Committee Chair, Michele Bergeron - GALA
report*

*Dear Chorus,*
**
 *We are absolutely thrilled to be able to announce that our first Gala was
an enormous success!  Not only did we sell out the evening but our proceeds
exceeded $15,000,  almost double what we had projected!  The choral
performance was spectacular and greatly appreciated by our audience. This
was a first time exposure to The Concert Singers of Cary for several of the
guests - we have gained new supporters!  The Matthews House provided a
wonderful venue and combined with the donation of wine from Unwine’d
allowed  our guests to enjoy some wonderful table wine with their meal. In
addition to their table wine, guests had several chances (and
took advantage of them!) to bid on 5 full cases in the Wall of Wine.  Both
the live auction and silent auction items were impressive, bringing in more
than half our proceeds. *

*Many thanks go to the Decorating Committee and the Gala Committee for some
long hours and very hard work in pulling this very special event together.
To all of you in the Chorus, a sincere and heartfelt "Thank you" for all
your support behind the scenes and at the Gala! We are working on getting
photos posted of the evening's activities - please keep checking our
Facebook page.*

*This Gala enabled  The Concert Singers of Cary to come to the attention of
not only some key Cary citizens but also Cary businesses that might not
have been aware of what we have to offer our community . Their new found
interest will greatly help set our future!*

*Fuller Blount Foundation Scholarship*
**

 Dear Chorus,



The Concert Singers of Cary in Cary, NC will offer the annual Fuller Blunt
Memorial Scholarship in memory of its co- founder again during Spring 2013.
The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating North Carolina high school
senior who has been accepted and will be entering a college or university
in the fall of 2012 as Music major.   It will be a one-time award of $1000
paid directly to the college of choice at the beginning of the 2013
academic year.
