[csc_newsline] Strike Up the Band Publicity

Dear Singers,

Some of you have requested graphic material for use in publicizing our
concerts via your electronic connections. I have attached jpegs of the front
and back of the post card that was distributed at last night's rehearsal for
this purpose. We have an ample supply of the post cards so let me know if
you need more or see an opportunity for us to display them in a public
place.

We really need your support to make this program a success. Despite all of
our marketing efforts, you are always our best advocates in attracting an
audience. The ticket price for this program is one of the best values in the
Triangle. Lawn seating is $15 and table seating is $25. An even bigger
advantage is that STUDENTS OF ALL AGES ARE ADMITTED FREE! This enables our
concerts to be easily accessible to families for a total cost that is less
than half the price of one seat at the DPAC in Durham. They also have the
added bonus of bringing a picnic supper and enjoying the beautiful setting
at the amphitheatre...with or without their children! 

Please use any publicity outlets or email lists that are available to you to
promote our performance. You don't have to sell tickets. Getting us on
people's radar at a busy time of year is most important.  Our outdoor events
typically have a great percentage of walk up sales as people plan more
impulsively based on weather.
