*Dear Choir,*

*Last night was an outstanding night for the Concert Singers of Cary. You
presented a well executed and musically fine performance to cap a
wonderfully successful artistic season. Thanks to your efforts, we had 317
people in attendance, our largest crowd so far at the CAC. There were many
in attendance who were hearing us for the very first time and indicated
that they would be season ticket holders next season. I heard many positive
comments, some of which came from knowledgeable people who felt that your
work was outstanding on a particularly challenging program. What I am most
pleased with was your ability to change your sound to suit the stylistic
needs of the music. It made each selection distinctive and maintained
interest. Many thanks to our soloists who also did an outstanding job!*

*I would like to thank Allen Bailey, Tasi Matthews, Virginia Hudson and
Julia Thompson for their outstanding contributions on the instrumental
side. Allen’s awareness and sensitivity is always something that I deeply
appreciate as he makes adjustments on the fly to enhance our work and
reacts to the needs of the moment. Tasi, Virginia and Julia are seasoned
pros who are always a joy to work with.*

*I also want to thank Jenn and Sean Myers for their work on concert
coordination. Sean did the setup work on the program and Jenn dealt with
all of the setup work at the facility, including the coordination of
volunteers. Jenn also performed double duty as my assistant so that I could
be available for the United Arts pre-concert session. I also want to thank
Greg Tarsa who headed up our publicity efforts which along with the
promotion by our members helped produce a full and enthusiastic audience.
Many thanks also to my wonderful wife who has worked tirelessly to help the
organization communicate clearly and serve the memberships needs! *

*In closing, I want to thank all of you for making this season so
successful on the artistic level. We are consistently receiving good
reviews from our performing partners such as the NC Symphony and the
Chamber Orchestra as well as by the media. As is always our mission, we are
performing a wide spectrum of music an making every effort possible to
reach deeply into the community in which we live. From the Eid Festival to
Baroque, from* *Holiday Pops to Beethoven and finally a trip around the
world the Concert Singers of Cary has a musical place for everyone. We have
without a doubt had our organizational challenges this year, but your
support has helped us to move ahead and I am confident that we will emerge
stronger than we have ever been. I hope that you will join us on Monday
night at 7:30  in the Marcus Dry room for a report from and a Q&A with the
Board about our organizational structure and our exciting plans for next
season. I also look forward to seeing many of you at the year end luncheon
on May 20th at Matthews House as we celebrate the accomplishments of the
past year!*
