See the news below from the Artistic Manager of the NC Symphony regarding
parking. Please print the attached parking pass and bring it with you.
Carpool if at all possible. Ingrid will be sending out a note later this
afternoon with other information and reminders but I wanted to get this
information to you immediately.

Hi Larry -

 

After much discussion with the Progress Energy Center staff this week, we're
greatly concerned about what parking will be like at the usual locations for
this weekend's performances.  Because the Carolina Ballet will be in
Memorial Auditorium on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, with
performances starting either before ours or exactly at the same time, we
expect the that the Kennedy Theatre lot, the Chamber of Commerce lot AND the
gravel lot on the west side of Salisbury Street will all be extremely full.


 

We'd obviously hate to have anybody be late to a performance because of
parking issues, so therefore we've worked out a solution with the City and
McLaurin Parking.  They've offered a parking lot on the northeast corner of
Wilmington and Lenoir Streets, about two blocks northeast of the Progress
Energy Center.


Concert Singers of Cary members will be able to park there for free by
showing the temporary pass which is attached to this email.  If you could
please forward it to your members, I would greatly appreciate it!
