Dear Choir,
I'm writing to remind you that we are rehearsing twice this week on Monday
and Tuesday at our regular time of 7:30 - 9:30. Both rehearsals are at our
usual spot at Herb Young, room A.
I'm also writing to give you the final list of music for the concert which
is listed below. As best as I can tell, this will be the performance order.
It includes the selections that the orchestra is playing alone. I have also
decided that we will do the Wagner and Verdi pieces in English to expedite
the learning process and make it more friendly to an outdoor audience. The
1812 WILL be in Russian as we have been rehearsing. If you missed the first
rehearsal last week, bring the Dragon America the Beautiful that we
performed on the American Celebration concert as well as the 1812. All other
music will be distributed at rehearsal.
Please come to as many of the rehearsals as possible. The Wagner and Verdi
(which I picked up Friday from the symphony librarian) contain a good bit of
four part men's and women's sections so we need as much time to work on it
as we can get. Megan Boyd will be leading both rehearsals this week as I
will be performing Bach's Mass in b minor with the 30 voice Conspirare
http://conspirare.org at the Victoria Bach Festival in Victoria and Austin,
TX. Please give her you're your best work and support.
Many Thanks!
Larry
